Acapulco

Acapulco is located in a state called Guerrero and is one of the most important touristic destinations in Mexico. Acapulco is well known for its beaches, aquatic sports ad for its never- ending night life. In vocational periods it is very difficult to get a room in any hotel. Food in Acapulco is delicious, one place to enjoy it is a placed called The Central Market. The following video was found in the website www.youtube.com ,and it is a fantastic tour through Acapulco. Enjoy!

Guanajuato

Guanajuato. This state counts with many natural reserves and cultural places. Its colonial architecture and local legends make of Guanajuato a state of inspiration for artists and bohemian people. In the capital of the state, the streets are very narrow and full of beautiful alleys. Here, the most visited place is the Mummy Museum (YouTube video below), which exhibits real Mummies. The International Cervantes festival, is a very important cultural festival and occurs in October. San Miguel de Allende is a peaceful town that whoever goes to Guanajuato has to visit and to live the experience of being there.

Jalisco

Guadalajara is located in the west coast of the country and is the capital of Jalisco, one state of the Mexican Republic. This city is full of culture and history. In the coast side of the state, is located Puerto Vallarta, a touristic destination very visited in Mexico, and famous for its spas and paradisiacal beaches. Eventhoug, Jalisco has not only famous places but also famous products. Jalisco is the State where Tequila is produced. In a region called Tapalpa, the blue agave grows (photo) for the production of this internationally-known product. One curious thing, there is a region in Jalisco called Tequila.

Mexico City

This video, which I found in youtube, shows many of the most important places in Mexico City. This wonderful City is the capital of Mexico and offers everything to have a great time not only for tourists but also for its residents. It’s a place where history and modernity are mixed up. Also, it has more than 20 million of habitants. Its cultural, historic and religious places are massively visited for people from all places in the world. Personally, as a proud Mexican citizen, enjoyed enormously this video.

An Overview

Mexico is usually stereotyped as a little town where people wear big hats, and eat nothing but tacos and burritos (as a matter of fact, burritos are tex-mex food), besides of resting the whole day. I remember once, a friend of mine from Israel, was impressed because I told him that Mexico City was the second largest city in the world, he could not even believe that in Mexico exists a subway. The reality is that Mexico is more than a dusty- little town; its territory is rich in natural resources, history, culture, touristic destinations (I would say, magical places) and, of course, beautiful natural landscapes. Mexico has 31 States and one Federal District, where all the government powers are located in. All those states, from the north to the south, have their own charm and attractiveness.
